Free, no-signup calculators that tell you what an AI API call — or a marketing decision — will actually cost, before you commit.
gpt-cost.com is a collection of free calculators for people who need a straight answer about cost. The flagship tool estimates the price of a large-language-model API call — you paste a prompt, pick from 21 production models across OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, DeepSeek and Meta, and see the per-call and at-scale cost with input and output priced separately. Around it sit dedicated pages for each model, side-by-side cost comparisons, and a set of business calculators (CAC, customer lifetime value, ROI, conversion rate, CPC/CPM, break-even and marketing ROI).
Everything runs in your browser and updates instantly as you type. There is no signup, no paywall on the calculators, and nothing you enter is sent to a server.
It started with surprise API bills. Estimating LLM cost by hand is fiddly — output tokens cost several times more than input, every vendor prices differently, and non-English text quietly multiplies the token count. We wanted a tool that gave the number in seconds instead of a spreadsheet, and then extended the same idea to the everyday business math founders and marketers redo constantly.
Developers and product managers budgeting an AI feature; founders sizing unit economics; marketers checking whether a channel pays for itself. If you need a fast, honest cost estimate without handing over your email, the tools here are built for you.
LLM pricing is taken directly from each vendor's official pricing page and synced roughly once a month; the "updated" month is shown on the model pages. Token estimates use the standard character-per-token heuristics and are meant for budgeting and pre-flight planning — for exact billing, always use each provider's official tokenizer. We aim to be accurate and to correct errors quickly; if you spot one, tell us.
gpt-cost.com is free to use and supported by advertising. Ads let us keep the calculators open and unrestricted rather than putting them behind a signup or subscription. We don't sell the data you enter into the calculators.
